Welcome to Ultimate Street Racer!

Objectives:

Drive down the street Avoid the incoming cars! 

Pick up objects receive a score and Coins!

Coins that you can actually use in the shop .

If you close out of the game your stats save so you can pickup the game later! 

Special sound associated with each item and full sound implemented through out the entire game!

Controls:

• [ N ]: Give yourself a name, press [ ENTER ] to exit naming.
•  [ WASD ] or [ Arrow Keys ]: to drive Left, Right, Up, or Down. 
• [ Space ]: Honk and induce Road Rage.
• Tips Menu press [ H ]: 12  Random tips.
• Settings Menu Press [ X ]: In-game description of controls.
• Shop Menu Press [ Z ]: Player can purchase upgrades with in-game coins.
• Credits Menu Press [ C ]: Credits Who Developed this game and when it was created in this case it was me in December 2023.
• [ Arrow Keys ]: Only on pause screens can switch car your driving.
• [ Q ]: Randomize 7 background music tracks.
• [ R ]: Closes Menus

Shop:

• [ F ]: Player Speed, increases player speed.
• [ T ]: Tree Chance, increases the rate at which tree spawns
• [ B ]: Coin Bonus, add + 5 coins for each item caught.
• [ G ]: Game End Bonus, add + 50 coins for each end of game.

How to Reset Game Stats:

• Double Click into Dist Folder.
• Double Click into the (.txt) file you wish to change.
• Enter the number at which to set at.
• Player speed default is 6
• Coins default is 0
• Score default is 0
• Treerate default is 2

How this Game was Developed:

This game was Developed in python using pygame for the visuals. it took a couple weeks of very long  day and nights into the early mornings, several of the assets were created by me in adobe illustrator and photoshop. 

Issues to note:

There is a lot going on in this game and since I have been learning to develop games without an actual game engine, pygames optimization is trash so I would recommend only having this app open when playing to get the best experience! The coin bonus and game bonus are still being worked on they don't currently save to the disc but all others do!
